THE ANXIETY OF THE SOUL THAT DOESN'T DECIDE TO TRUST

THE ANXIETY OF THE SOUL THAT DOESN'T DECIDE TO TRUST

THE ANXIETY OF THE SOUL THAT DOESN'T DECIDE TO TRUST

Jesus said in John 7:17 that all and every human being could only know whether His teaching is True or not by practicing it in faith. And by saying so, He ended all fruitless debates about the "truth", for he said that the Truth could only be 'experienced,' and only then will it be attested as such. Therefore, without the experience of truth in life, no Truth of God is Truth to me and will not manifest itself as the fruit of deliverance and freedom, and in accordance with the kingdom of God, which is justice, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Yes, I will be a Christian, but I will not know what it is to be a disciple of Jesus!

The point is that at this moment, we are placed before a decision that can present itself through many different faces, and which is this: Do I have the courage to reduce my existence to one thing, to a single certainty?

Our nature, sickened by the insecurity caused by the Fall’s experience in us, is incapable of such simplification, for it seems madness to us and an existential suicide.

Only a madman would practice it, even if it were by faith.

However, Jesus said that this is the good part that won’t be taken away from anyone who chooses it. Jesus also said that this would only happen if the 'being' made its synthesis in God instead of serving two lords or even multiple lords.

Thus, we learn that this bigamy attempt by the soul, sometimes loving one and despising the other(s) (and at other times inverting the process), is, in fact, the center of the anguish/anxiety of the being.

It is like the soul that attempts to have two loves, devoting itself to one to the same extent that it despises the other. And so it goes, always existing in the alternation of this same process and always without peace. However, it will only find peace in God. For if it chooses any other love (but that one), it will be distressing, since as much as one devotes itself to him, it still claims in me the essential place of the only love, the love of the Author of Life.

In the visible world, money expresses well this passion and devotion. It is the cult of the immediate and the Power in one’s hands. It is the altar of success receiving the burnt offering of ambition that has been generated by the insecurity of those who cannot trust. Money is trust in one's own hand. That's why it expresses a terrible master. For whoever thinks he has it in his hands, has already been in his hands for a long time.

Finally, Jesus said that I must reduce my existence to just one thing so that the good part is not taken away from me. And he said that it was only the surrender to the Father's will that could pacify the soul and give it a sense of eternal meaning. However, he also said that in order to be able to know whether He is the Truth or not, one has to decide beforehand and jump headlong. You have to choose and dive without fear. For as soon as one does that, one will experience the grace of joy and peace. The being will have been unified, and contentment will take the place of anguish in the soul, previously generated by the services rendered to many masters; and peace will prevail.

When we get here, on this ground, where a decision is required from us, a “taking of conscience,” the person must know where to look and how to consider its choices and faith decisions. Often, and in very different ways, all of us have to choose who our Lord is during the journey on the way. Most of the time, we deny him, which is why our beings go out in their inner light, and the heart almost only matures as a bitter being.

Paul said that he paid attention not to the things that were seen but to those that were not seen because the things seen are temporal, and those that are not seen are eternal.

This was his way of looking and seeing in the many times he had to choose. And the meaning of the choice is as follows: we must elect in this life the things that are preserved for eternal life - such as love, mercy, justice, joy, and peace - for our body ages and dies, but there are choices made during this journey that are elections we make about ourselves for eternity.

Thus, if one is willing to jump and practice the Word of Jesus, simplifying his own existence, he will know what the Truth is and experience liberation, not before. He taught that this is a decision of faith that moves forward, that launches itself, that does not know how to return.

However, the way to preserve this is not to divide the being between two or many masters. The soul only ceases to be in this anguishing movement of pendular devotions — God or riches, for example — if it is pacified before a single, supreme Lord. In doing so, by faith, all things are the fruit of love for Him. And the heart walks in peace.

And this only happens if we gain the courage to interpret life, not privileging the things that are seen as scenery, for they are temporal, but paying attention to things that are not seen and permanent. This is a reward on earth. It is glory in 'being.' It is Christ in us.

But no one will know unless they don't have the courage to jump...

"Come, follow me..."

"Where shall we go, Lord? Only you have the words of eternal life!"
